MyVision is an enterprise and movement of young people accelerating and incubating social business. Our mission is to solve the world’s most pressing issues through social business.

The Movement

Born in April 2012, MyVision was inspired by Joanna Klimczak and Yashvi Shah’s work with a youth organization called Hand in Hand International, which focused on freeing youth from extreme poverty through fundraising and philanthropy. Hoping to engage in a more sustainable form of social change, the team adopted the non-dividend, non-loss concept of social business and built MyVision. Under the direct mentorship of Professor Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, MyVision McGill was the first chapter created. Today, MyVision McGill is one of the largest players in the MyVision movement and is home to Montreal’s first student-run social business.

I dismiss personal profit and focus exclusively on people and planet. That’s what I call social business: a nondividend company dedicated to solving human problems.
— Muhammad Yunus, 2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate
