Through our events, we seek to bring together students, experts, and other members of the Montreal community to discuss the potential of social business & enterprise.
Social innovation Summit
On November 23, 2018, from 1-6 PM, join MyVision McGill at KIN Coworking for a great opportunity to learn more about social business and innovation from leaders in the field.
Every year, MyVision McGill hosts the Social Innovation Summit to bring together students, entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and more to discuss innovations and opportunities in the social business world. This year, our theme is "Scaling The Impact", with the goal to explore the importance of scaleable business models for advancing social innovation, as well as how impact measurement can be leveraged to align an organization's strategy with its mission.
To create a lasting impact, it takes more than a brilliant idea. That's why MyVision is tapping into the knowledge and expertise of some of Canada's greatest change-makers, who are excited to share their insight with our community.
At the Summit, participants will have the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers and a panel, as well as participate in a workshop and a networking session. Get ready to learn from an array of social businesses, social intrapreneurs (i.e. those creating social impact within traditional corporations), and social entrepreneurs.
The Summit is open to EVERYONE, not just McGill students!
Tickets are $6 for MyVision members and $12 for non-members. Food and drinks will be served. See you there!

Our biggest annual event is the Social Business Summit, which was most recently co-hosted by MyVision McGill and Enactus McGill on November 18th, 2016. The summit included various keynote speakers, workshops, and opportunities to network with social business leaders. In the past we have featured speakers such as Richard St. Pierre and Alain-Olivier Desbois.
Last year we had the pleasure of having Jonathan Glencross from Purpose Capital and Jennifer Lonergan from Artistri Sud, as well as a panel of young social entrepreneurs. Furthermore, this was the first year we had Enactus hold a workshop as part of the conference. The workshop taught participants how to apply social business concepts to different business models while encouraging creative problem solving. At the end of the conference, the MyVision x Enactus Challenge was held. This gave social entrepreneurs an opportunity to pitch their social business ideas in a competition for a $500 prize.
Finally, the conference wrapped up with a networking cocktail which allowed our participants to not only network with our guest speakers but with each other as they reflected on the conference and shared their social business ideas. The Social Business Summit is not only a great opportunity to learn about social business but also provides resources to those attending to become better social entrepreneurs and leaders.
